Updating my prior post this evening, Sen. Neil Breslin tells me he has commitments from all his Democratic colleagues to support his bill to let the city of Albany develop a residential parking permit system for Center Square and other parts of the city within three-quarters of a mile from Empire State Plaza. That would be enough to pass the bill even if all Republicans oppose it, and its prospects in the Assembly (where it passed last year) are good. The bill has long been sought by the city and local legislators, spurred by complaints from residents about out-of-town state workers taking all the parking spaces. It has in the past been blocked by lobbying from state employee unions.
Diaz is the biggest a**h*** in the Senate and a disgrace to a progressive New York.

Not sure of the relevance here, r m, since Diaz supported the Breslin bill, but I completely disagree with you and admire Sen. Ruben Diaz.
