The new ad with Price Chopper Supermarkets CEO Neil Golub endorsing congressional candidate Jim Tedisco is one of the campaign's better spots. For one thing, it is not a negative attack ad of dubious veracity, which describes a great deal of the advertising from both the Tedisco and Scott Murphy camps -- and ordinary voters are heartily sick of those ads. For another, Golub is a prominent local businessman who says Tedisco would be good for the economy, and he mentions a couple of local issues, the (Schenectady) Metroplex and Bellevue Woman's Hospital (of Niskayuna). Unfortunately, those locations are near but not in the 20th Congressional District. But if Tedisco needs more precisely targeted material for the debates this week (tonight and Thursday), he can look over my last two posts.
