Details to follow, I guess. That may not say much for Albany's usual (non)democratic process, but I'm inclined to focus on the positive. The governor and Senate Republicans have wised up (although that breathless Cuomo op-ed saying how shocked, shocked he was to find the tax code not progressive was a little hard to take). Significant credit for the change goes to those starry-eyed idealists camped out in Lafayette Park -- and their union allies. Regarding the latter, Cuomo should have held out for some mandate relief, but on the tax issue the unions have been right all along.
