In case you were wondering whether it's a good idea for the state to seize control of the Luther Forest Technology Campus, comes this statement from the chairman of the Saratoga County Board of Supervisors, Willard Peck: "The last time I saw a headline like that, it was from an old World War II newspaper alerting us that Germany had just seized Poland." Yup, Willard, and then those Germans set up concentration camps in Poland where they murdered millions of Jewish and other civilians. Brilliant parallel. Really shows the kind of judgment you local county guys can bring to the table.
Most of the $1 billion in corporate welfare GF/AMD is receiving is from the state, so in a way, it makes sense for the state to seize it... idiotic Third Reich parallels aside.

Though in fairness to county officials, it appears that they learned of this via the newspaper, which I think is shoddy, unprofessional handling by the state.
