It's gratifying that the Colonie PD chose to take the correct position once the eyes of the Internet were upon them, but the union people allege that prior to that--and we saw one instance of it right there in the film--police officers threatened to arrest the strikers, pursuant to "ordinances" that apparently don't exist, for voicing their protest with amplification. That does kind of look like law enforcement engaging in strikebreaking on behalf of a private company. But maybe that's not what motivated them. It's quite common, nowadays, for police to tell people that they're forbidden to walk over here, or take photographers over there, all without any basis whatsoever in the law, and certainly in violation of constitutional rights.
