The Tedisco campaign's new TV ad seems a bit better than the first one (which was just OK), although I think it's time to stop hammering home his opposition to giving drivers licenses to illegal immigrants. Nor is the TV spot up to the very high standard of Scott Murphy's first and so far only ad. Murphy was first off the mark, while getting a slow start on campaigning in the district, but now Tedisco has put out two TV ads while Murphy still has the old one up. None of the TV ads is negative. The NRCC is running a negative radio ad against Murphy, linking him to Wall Street and raising the tax issue. There's also plenty of anti-Tedisco animus from the DCCC and the liberal blogosphere, as in this statement from The Albany Project's lead blogger on the race: "Of course, we support Murphy and think Tedisco is a very, very bad man." No doubt some of that negativity will make its way into advertising soon enough.
