Venture capitalist Scott Murphy, the newly minted Democratic candidate in the 20th Congressional District, has just one event listed on his campaign Web site. It's a "private reception" that was held Jan. 29 at a couple's home, but a campaign contribution of at least $1,000 would have gotten you in the door. And where might that door be? The Web site just says, "225 CPW - Apt. 222" but I reckon that refers to Central Park West in the borough of Manhattan, which is some distance from the 20th Congressional District. Kirsten Gillibrand did a lot of fund-raising in the same environs, which helped her pay for two very expensive media campaigns. Now that Murphy's the official candidate, maybe he can charge more for his fund-raisers.
It's interesting how the blog gives scrutiny to Murphy but offers poetic ellegies to Tedisco.
