So the director of the Schenectady County Human Rights Commission has filed federal and state complaints against the county, alleging he was discriminated against because of his race, age and gender by being denied two jobs. One of those jobs was created by the county 's Democratic leaders for a defeated Assembly candidate, a guy who had been a county legislator until they persuaded him to run for the state position. The other job was created for another guy whom the former Assembly candidate's new job had displaced. Seems like the only way you can fight political patronage in this state is by playing the diversity card. Oh, and there's also a computer pornography angle. As New York Post gossip maven Cindy Adams is wont to say, Only in New York, kids, only in New York.
